Ancient Wisdom Treats Modern Diseases

Cataracts? Then…’Green Drinks’ if you don’t get enough greens

There have been many studies showing that the phytochemicals lutein and zeaxanthin are beneficial for they eyes. There is little doubt that an adequate supply of these phytochemicals can reduce the risk of cataracts. So here is another study showing that these important phytochemicals prevent ocular diseases.
Our best sources for these necessary phytochemicals are: spinach, kale, turnip greens, collards, and mustard. Egg yolks also proven to contain a considerable amount of bioavailable lutein and zexanthin. (But don’t worry about eggs and cholesterol as that myth has been exposed.)
If you want to get more of these important phytochemicals as well as other cancer fighting substances into your diet I highly recommend one of several ‘green drinks’. It is easy to take these drinks once or twice per day to get a full range of bioavailable phytochemicals. But beware as not all ‘green-drinks’ are created equal. A lot of care must be taken to properly dry the fresh vegetables to a high concentration of whole active bioavailable phytochemicals. The products I like most are:
Nanogreens
Progreens
PaleoGreens

(Although they do contain spirulina and blue green algae, I’d caution against taking high amounts of these algae as they can lead to a B12 deficiency.)
